Popis: Anti-GQ1b antibody syndrome is a term used for describing different conditions that are believed to have a common underlying autoimmune mechanism and positive anti-GQ1b IgG antibodies in serum. The aim was to present challenges in diagnosis and treatment of a young 31-year old patient with overlapping Guillain-Barré syndrome and Miller Fisher syndrome who was treated with plasma exchange and intravenous immunoglobulins (IVIg) which gradually resulted in almost full neurological recovery.
