Popis: | Artemisia scoparia Waldst. & Kit. (wormwood wormwood) is of considerable interest as an essential oil, spicy aromatic and medicinal plant. Primary introductory study allows us to state that this species of wormwood is a promising essential oil and medicinal plant for the conditions of the Southern coast of Crimea: the plants successfully develop under conditions of culture, form viable seeds with high germination, and in the first year they give a high collection of essential oil. A multi-year introductory selection study of Artemisia scoparia samples of different eco-geographical origin made it possible to isolate a high-oil variety (mass fraction of essential oil 0,85 % of crude and 1,78 % of dry mass) with valuable chemical composition of essential oil (the content of capilline reaches 64,2 %, the sum of aromatic substances – 28,2 %). The essential oil of the selected varieties of Artemisia scoparia is characterized by the predominance of fragrances from the class of monteriponids and aromatic polynes, which determines its value not only for pharmacology, but also for the perfumery, cosmetic and food industries. |
