Thanks to the high dessert and technological qualities of fruits, good yield and early maturity, the peach (Persica vulgaris Mill.) is one of the most important stone fruit crops in the world. The main base for breeding in Nikita Botanical Garden is the peach's gene pool, which was formed due to the introduction of varieties and forms from various natural regions of the CIS, Europe, America, China and Canada. The study of the results of the introduction of peach varieties from Canada is very relevant, allows to identify the best of them for use in the selection process. As a result of the use of Canadian varieties Veteran and Valiant, 14 new promising varieties of peach were obtained in hybridization: Granatoviy, Pontiyskiy, Rumyaniy Nikitskiy, Yubileyniy Ranniy, Strelets, Krymskiy Feiyerverk, Karnaval'niy, Naryadniy Nikitskiy, Nikitskiy Podarok, Soprano, Yubleniy Ranniy, Yuzhnaya Garmoniy, which were included in the State Register of Selection Achievements of the Russian Federation.
