We have proposed the model of neural network of medial septal area. This nucleus acts as pacemaker of hippocampal theta rhythm and plays key role in the cognitive functions of hippocampus such as attention and memory. We have supposed that synchronous burst mode of discharges can be formed by feed-back inhibition in subnetwork of glutamatergic and GABAergic neurons. We have shown that such system can involve projection to the hippocampus GABAergic neurons in burst rhythmic mode, which parameters are similar with experimental. |
