Popis: | In today's dynamic information society, the success of an organization no longer depends on previously set impulses but instead on the ability to constantly adapt strategies to changing basic conditions. Available concepts of organizational change trivialize complex circumstances in a way that they have only very limited validity. Theories of self organization, e.g. the newer system theory, which permit a more appropriate view, have so far hardly been transferred onto the application orientated organization research. Against this background, in the first part of the investigation we derive a pluralistic strategy on the basis of the new system theory, which can also be used for pragmatic design suggestions for organizations. Subsequently, the research focuses on the deductive development of a concrete research framework consisting of a ‘research object of organization’ as an analytic unit of different systems and/or investigation perspectives and a model-theoretical method of resolution of strategic adaptability, which at the same time represents the application case for design suggestions. Strategic adaptability accordingly corresponds to ‘organizational knowledge for strategic change', the production of which becomes more probable under certain conditions. In contrast to the usual procedure, the purpose and goal of pragmatic design do not result directly from – often deceitful – everyday organizational life, but derive from abstract theoretical considerations. Finally, a process model of the implementation of ‘organizational knowledge for strategic change' in a world of electronic networks demonstrates the practical applicability of these solutions of strategic adaptability. Concretely, an exemplary examination of the abstract model takes place through the derivative of resulting requirements for the design of a software application for the support of strategic adaptability. The software application was realized as a prototype in the context of a research project. |
