In this thesis potentials of knowledge management in an economic research and strategy consulting firm are pointed out.The observation of the competitive environment is to be represented under a knowledge management approach which integrates external information and internal knowledge on competitors.First the subject of the thesis is embedded into the general context of the topic field and a first reason for the occupation with the topic, out from the vocational surrounding field of information brokers, is developed.A short presentation of the individual ranges of the subjects 'knowledge management ' and 'competitive intelligence' follows. Further there are set in relationship with the knowledge management concept.The selected approach of a knowledge management view on competitor observation is then theoretically justified and concretized by the development of a pre-conceptual, general procedure model by the example of a Swiss consulting firm. |
