| Popis: | The Second Millennium B. C. Settlements and the Cemeteries in the eastern interior of Mid-West Anatolia. We have carried out some archaeological surveys in some parts of Inland Mid-west Anatolia in Turkey between 2002 and 2010. We have researched nearly 60 settlements and necropolises of the Second Millennium B. C. during that period. We have carried out archaeological studies in one of the necropolises called Dede Mezarı in five years. These were carried out in a Middle Bronze Age necropolis territory in the west part of Afyonkarahisar and besides these the surveys provided us to find out the settlement characteristics of this region and its burial customs. In this region, the number of the settlements started to decrease after the Early Bronze Age II. In the Middle Bronze Age, the scope of the settlements enlargement was observed. It has been observed that many of the Second Millenium B. C. settlements and the necropolises are dated to the Middle Bronze Age. It was noticed that the number of settlements declined in the Late Bronze Age in this region. This case is probably associated with the political struggles within the region. Probably the enlargement of the Hittite Empire towards west and the struggle of the Hittite & Arzawa affected the regional settlements located between these two countries. One of the most important settlements of this region is Bolvadin-Üçhöyük. Besides this settlement, the following settlements as Emirdağ Çayır 1, Tezköy, Hisar, Bayat Köy Kalesi, Asarcık, Söğütlüpınar, Bozyer Mezarlık, Muratkoru, Sultandağı Kocaoğuz ; İscehisar Çalışlar, Sarıçayır, Doğlat İnlerönü, Sinanpaşa Kınık Üyük, Ayvatlı are also to be presented.
