| Popis: | Després de gairebé 30 anys d’intervencions arqueològiques, el monestir de Sant Llorenç del Mont o de Sous és a punt de ser museïtzat i recuperat per a la visita pública. L’actuació ha permès recuperar elements que van des de la fase inicial preromànica fins a la parròquia contemporània, passant, evidentment, pel període de major esplendor del monestir, entorn als segles XII-XIII. Els treballs arqueològics han permès estudiar la totalitat de les edificacions que componien el perímetre del monestir, que el 1984 es trobava pràcticament colgat per la runa. A l’estructura claustral clàssica que se li intuïa, al començament, s’han pogut afegir altres construccions que han palesat la gran complexitat constructiva d’aquest monestir, així com les grans transformacions que va patir a partir del segle XVI. After almost 30 years of archaeological interventions, the monastery of Sant Llorenç del Mont or Sant Llorenç de Sous now is almost ready to be restored as a museum and to be opened to the public. The interventions have allowed to recover elements from the initial, pre-romanesque phase to the contemporary parish, obviously including the monastery’s period of major splendour between the twelfth and thirteenth centuries. Archaeological works have allowed to study all buildings which composed the monastery complex and which practically had been covered in ruins until 1984. It has been possible to discover other buildings of the classic cloister structure which were intuited from the beginning so that now the great constructive complexity of this monastery has been revealed, as well as important transformations it has seen since the sixteenth century |
