Future above-ground landfills will be considerably different from those known today. The disposal of organicxwaste will soon belong to the past. In many cases more elaborate preparation plants will be used than today. Continuous conveyor systems which are, with the help of today's technology, already highly economical, will in te future be a realistic alternative to discontinuous transport systems. For these reasons continuous conveyor systems should be developed specifically for each landfill as part of the optimized total disposal system. |
