In this study, we investigated child-rearing support by elderly people in local governments in Hiroshima Prefecture. We explored the current situation and the expectations and anxieties of local government officials regarding child-rearing support by elderly people. The purpose of this study was to obtain suggestions for improving the child-rearing support system provided by the local elderly in the community. The subjects were 31 local government offices in Hiroshima prefecture including eight ward offices in Hiroshima city, and 23 Silver Human Resource Centers (SHRCs) in the Prefecture. In each local government and SHRC, questionnaire surveys were conducted for the staff of the departments in charge of child-rearing support (e.g., Family Support Centers), and the dispatchers of each SHRC. Local governments and the SHRCs recognized the gap between the parenting views of the local elderly and the child-rearing generation as a problem. As they expect the elderly to support the child rearing of the younger generation, some local governments and SHRCs hold seminars to provide information to the elderly on the current parenting styles of the younger generation. Regarding the future development of child-rearing support activities by the elderly, local governments and the SHRCs expect that the elderly will play a role in community formation, providing a base for intergenerational exchange, and overseeing child rearing in the community. 本研究は,令和2年度広島大学教育学部卒業生北朱希の卒業研究の収集データを元に作成したものである。 |
