Popis: The subject matter of this master thesis is the work environment, health, and agency of people, who performed their jobs from home under different circumstances than prior to Covid-19 (Coronavirus) pandemic lockdown of Denmark. The investigation focuses on the effects on the health and in exten-sion of that the work environment and agency for people who work from home. This master thesis is rooted in critical hermeneutic of Paul Ricoeur and therefore takes a normative standpoint, which is based on the theoretical foundation of this master thesis and therefore the pre-understandings regard-ing the investigation. The theoretical foundation is based on the acceleration theory of Hartmut Rosa and disciplinary theory of Michel Foucault. The understanding of health is rooted in the open concept of health developed by Steen Wackerhausen. The methodological approach is in this master thesis based on interview with 2 students and 2 social workers, who have or still work from home and therefore this approach combined with the theoretical foundation is the framework for investigating the research question. This master thesis found that people’s control over and competences to improve their health status requires adequate agency to perform their jobs under the specific circumstances that changed rapidly under the corona pandemic Covid-19. Furthermore, this master thesis found that even though circum-stances change radically doesn’t necessary result in inadequate agency. Some people experience ef-fects on their competences to control and improve their health status and in extension of that effects on their physical, psychological, and social wellbeing while others generalized agency is intact. In addi-tion to this some people experience effects on the psychological health in the form of reduce compe-tences to deal with the challenges that Covid-19 have brought. In addition to this, the master thesis found that there’s a risk that both psychological and physical health gets affected when goals are not of those of the individuals. Some people experience reduced psychological health if they are alienated from the daily lives, goals, themselves, and others; which in all effect the work environment at home and at work. This master thesis concludes that the psychological health gets effected in various ways if goals and demands does not correspond with the competences and experiences of the co-worker. This master thesis concludes that the framework and guidelines for people who work from home should be in accordance with their competences, job descriptions. Furthermore, as a mean to promote the health of people who work from home under both crises and normal circumstances.
