In this master thesis we analyze and portray the still undergoing process, of twodemolition cases included in the development project “Partnerskabet for bedreanvendelse af byggeaffald” (PBAB).The PBAB project seeks to develop new methods and techniques of demolitionprocesses, and new approaches to the overall turnkey process within the waste regime,surrounding demolition and construction.Development of these new methods, techniques and process-approaches, is soughtto elevate norms and practices within the applicable waste regime, thus achieving ahigher quality recycling of building resources, as well as more direct reuse of componentmaterials.Analyzing the cases, we sought the emergence of this new waste regime, supportingreuse and recycling of building materials, by applying transition- and governancetheory. Via this theoretical approach we were able to provide a basic/primary argumentfor: 1. The potential and possibility of a market supporting reuse and recycling ofbuilding materials, as well as, 2. Indicating a path towards a possible conversion of thecurrent waste regime, towards supporting reuse and recycling of building materials,via the concatenation of present and partial/future socio-technical systems. |
