The text presents basic problems and questions faced by the team working on the Bibliography of Polish Ethnography (BEP) on Internet. The issues concern: - rules of selection of publications qualified for the BEP. BEP includes written works from the domain of cultural anthropology and other branches of humanities and social science. Thus the word “ethnography” does not restrict fields covered by the research of BEP members. BEP takes into consideration the texts, that seem to be useful for ethnography and ethnology as well as are interesting either from the methodological point of view or with respect to theme, but also because of their “anthropological” character, even if they represent culture studies, history, etc.; - processing of ethnographical and anthropological bibliographical selection based on BEP for the two international bibliographies, namely: „International Bibliography of the Socials Science” (IBSS) and „Internationale Volkskundliche Bibliographie” (IVB); - selection of keywords used for the description of texts qualified for BEP - and an additional issue, namely an elaboration of keywords index. |
