The cost and supply of energy have always been a crucial aspect for industry. Recently due to the enduring multi-level European energy crisis this topic only became more important. CERN is also affected with these all-time high energy prices. This paper describes the contract management needs behind CERNs’ electrical energy supply contract and gives a general understanding of the various regulatory frameworks required to purchase energy in France at an industrial level. These frameworks are explained via numerical examples to provide an overview of the cost it implies to CERN. |
