| Popis: | The plant virus genus Torradovirus was created to contain two new species of whitefly-transmitted, tomato-infecting plant picorna-like viruses: Tomato torrado virus and Tomato marchitez virus. So far, research on torradoviruses has focused mainly on the description of the viruses and the diseases they cause, the determination of viral properties and nucleic acid sequences, and the development of detection methods.
