Popis: Children with autism are said to lack imagination. In this article, Van Dorsten and Zernitz present the theoretical framework they developed for the research project 'Speciaal Verbeeld' and demonstrate that different definitions of imagination yield very inconsistent results when it comes to the imaginative skills of children with special needs. They show how the model can be used to map imaginative skills of children in arts education for pupils with and without special needs.
