In this paper, we present a contingency plan for inland waterway disruptions, from the point of view of the transport operator and the cargo owner. The cargo owner strongly emphasizes the stability of the stock levels at destination as the main objective of the contingency plan. We present a vulnerability analysis for the relevant part of the waterway network, and we present a micro-simulation analysis of the contingency plan, where we compare simple disruption scenarios against the stock development for a normal operation. |
