Popis: The user requirements specify what functions an information system has to fulfil. The user requirements serve as the basis for system implementation and test specification. In this paper we present a number of guidelines that improve the quality of the user requirements. If the guidelines we present are obeyed during requirements construction, certain types of inconsistencies will not be present in the resulting requirements. Better quality requirements lead to fewer errors in the other system development phases and during system changes.
