Popis: Explorations based on the deltalambdablue and the thin-line methods [1] indicate that High Resolution Spectroscopy (HRS) can be used as a tool to determine which elements appear and disappear over the life in the plasma of a CDM lamp. The objectives of this technical report are a) to characterize the performance of the deltalambdablue and the thin-line methods for the available HR spectrometers (HRS ACTON SpectraPro 750 nm and 500 nm, and HRS Aryelle), b) to describe the software designed for the calculation of the deltalambdablue for the deltalambdablue method and the peak ratio for the thin-line method for elements used in HID lamps, and c) to determine calibration curves for elements used in Ultimo lamps. The resolution of all three spectrometers is sufficient to determine the deltalambdablue of the self reversed Al-lines in the concentration range normally used. Furthermore, the spectrometers can also improve the low signal to noise ratio in the region of 400 nm. The "HRS tool" software is designed to process HRS data and to determine the deltalambdablue of self-reversed lines and the peak ratio IX / IHg of thin lines. The program can be used for Hg-containing and for Hg-free lamps. It calculates deltalambdablue values of 0.015 nm and above. The calibration curves for Al, Tl, La, Dy, Mg, and Er for Ultimo lamps have been determined by processing the spectra measured on the HRS ACTON SpectraPro 750 nm and the HRS Aryelle with the "HRS tool".
