Popis: |
PLASIMO is a modelling framework developed at the applied physics faculty of the Eindhoven University of Technology that has been used to model a wide range of plasmas in various regimes : LTE or non-LTE, steady state or transient, convective or diffusive. Recently, 2D models with complex chemistries have been realized in PLASIMO, such as silane/hydrogen in a coaxial waveguide, and a microwave induced oxygen plasma. However, modern plasma applications often require more complex chemistries, but implementation is limited by practical constraints regarding computational load. One way to study complex chemistries is to use global models, for which a specific PLASIMO module is available. Another means of dealing with the problem is to reduce the chemistry. Classic examples of this are Collisional Radiative Models, which can also be created with PLASIMO. More advanced methods are Low-Dimensional Manifold techniques and Principal Component Analysis. An overview is given of different approaches and their application in PLASIMO. |
