| Popis: | This article proposes a reflection on some of the mechanisms adopted by the EU to mobilize the necessary capital to comply with the audacious objectives of the Green Deal. To this end, the EU coined the term "sustainable finance", where ESG aspects of investment products and vehicles must be considered, enabling investors to channel funds into activities that are in accordance with the model set under the Green Deal. In this sense, the EU has been developing a new regulatory framework composed of several and disparate measures that establish a set of prudential and corporate rules and requirements for the development and maintenance of climate benchmarks, as well as proposals to label investments as being environmentally sustainable. This framework is made up of countless legal documents and this article tries to present a preliminary systematization and harmonization of the topic to the Brazilian audience. |
