Popis: The capacity of terrestrial ecosystems to store carbon is greatly influenced by stand dynamics. We have calculated the accumulation of carbon stocks in the tropical rainforest area of the Gunung Poteng Nature Tourism area, West Kalimantan. From the observations of stand phytososiology, it was found that 60 plant species from 20 sub-plots of various levels. There were 20 types of trees found. Stand density ranged from 65-125 ind / ha (average 134 ind / ha). The basal area of the stands ranged from 15.30 to 59.97 m2 / ha with an average of 38.71 m2 / ha. The average standing biomass was 147.98 tonnes C / ha. The results showed that of the 20 tree species with a diameter of ≥ 20 cm in all locations, there were 11 dominant tree species in the study location with an IVI value of 5%. The stands in the study area were dominated by Arenga pinnata, Durio zibethinus, Alstonia angustiloba and Hevea brasiliensis.
