A study of differences in physiologic and psychological change when persons do activity items that varies in attention, intensive and difficulty degrees : Comparison of the stress caused by 'Copying of a sutra', 'Continuous addition' and 'Number cross puzzle', using by salivary cortisol, amylase and Profile of Mood States questionnaire as index

Popis: Background: There is knowledge that the flow state of concentrating attention makes people feel joy and restlessness. However, they have not been fully verified using physiological indicators. Objective: We investigated differences of stress when persons do activity items that varies in attention, intensive and difficulty degrees . Method : “Copying of a sutra", “Continuous addition" and “Number cross puzzle; Puzzle", we thought “Copying of a sutra" is the most easy and “Puzzle" is the most difficulty in three items, we carried out these three items for nine people of average age 22 years old including 5 women and 4 men. During their performing we investigated their stress using by salivary cortisol, amylase and Profile of Mood States questionnaire as index. Result:Changes in cortisol, amylase and POMS in “before work", “immediately after work" and “15 minutes after work" were the lowest in“copying of a sutra". “ Puzzle" was the most stressful. In all three items, stress in “15 minutes after work" was lower than “before work". Conclusion :Stress is relieved for work that allows for moderate concentration at your own pace. The difficult task is stress. However, even if it is stressful to do the work, before work, stress becomes less faint in 15 minutes after work.
