Popis: Infrared absorption spectra of pyridine complexes with the halides of arsenic, antimony and bismuth in the solid states and of their pyridine solutions were measured. The new bands were observed in the 1000 cm^ region in solution spectra, which were the symmetric ring vibrations of pyridine shifted by the addition of the halides. The solid spectra bore no resemblance, being shifted to a large extent, to the spectrum of pure liquid pyridine. There was found the correlation with electronegativities of apex atoms in the extent, of shifts of some bands.
