Popis: We surveyed both local and hospital nursing staff in order to clarify the actual situation of the con-tents and means of information transmission and the consciousness of its role, and to establish an ef-fective system for conducting future continuing nursing care in the transition from hospital to recu-peration at home. In this report, focusing only on hospital nursing staff, the following results were ob-tained. 1. The system of continuing nursing care in the hospital is revolved around the staff in charge. Hospital nursing staff consider it important to transmit information, and understand its significance through practice. 2. Hospital nursing staff derive a sense of achievement and security from transmitting information to local nursing staff. 3. We found that it is impossible to deal adequately with the patient's needs using only the present continuing nursing care from, and that there is room to discuss a means of future transmission of infor-mation.
