| Popis: | Fifteen illustrated sheets of the Tale of Genji scroll-painitings (i. e., the Tokugawa scrolls) were subjected to X-rays, ultra-violet ray and stereomicroscopic examimation in order to determine the pigments used in them. The following pigments were identified by the difference in the colour and intensity of the fluorescence and by the power of certain pigments to absorbe X-rays : white lead, red lead, vermillion, gamboge, malachite, azurite, silver, gold, Chinese ink. Besides these pigments a red organic pigment which is transparent to X-ray was found but its chemical nature was not determined. 第174号に本論文の正誤表掲載。 |
