Life-style related disease : Relationship between cardiovascular diseases and hypertension

Popis: It is well known that hypertension, hyperlipemia, smoking and diabetes are risk factors of the ischemic heart disease and stroke. In these risk factors, hypertension influences most strongly to the development of arteriosclerosis. In this paper, affection of hypertension to the occurrence and development of arteriosclorosis, relation between the origin of essential hypertension and environmental factors, and relation between the occurrence of hypertension and life style was described. Essential hypertension is polygenic disorder, however environmental factors are necessary to cause hypertension. Excess intake of the salt, obesity, lack of exercise, overedrinking and psychosocial or physical stress are well known as environmental factors of essential hypertension. It is very important to impove these life style in order to manage hypertension and to prevent arteriosclerotic cardiovascular diseases.
