The acceptance of Chinese Calligraphy Rubbing 'Wen-jing-tang' in the Edo Period

Popis:	Nagasaki, as the only port for foreign trade during the Edo period of Japan, developed trade with China and Netherlands. Among all the imports from China, books accounted for a remarkable proportion. These books, mainly brought by the “Don Boat”, included a lot of Chinese calligraphy rubbings. Based on statistical analysis, this paper finds out that there were 151 kinds of Chinese calligraphy rubbings, totally 3797 volumes, being imported to Japan. Findings also indicate that the Rubbing of Wen-jing-tang, with a total of 1883 volumes, accounted for 50％ of the imported rubbings. 東アジアの歴史と動態
