Popis: | The Kamiichi-Tateyama area is located to the east of Toyama Prefecture, central Japan. The area is occupied by the Lower Cretaceous Tetori Group (fluvial deposits) consisting of the Inotani alternation, Minamimatadani conglomerate, Wasabu alternation members, Nagaoyama and Shiroiwagawa formations, in ascending order. An indeterminable, poorly preserved bivalve fossil is newly found from sandy mudstone of the Wasabu alternation member in the area. This specimen may be useful to discuss stratigraphic correlation and sedimentary environment of the Tetori Group. |
