The current drive experiment of a spheromak plasma has been successfully performed by DC helicity injection in the FACT device at Himeji Institute of Technology. In the experiment, the flux conserver and the DC helicity injector composed of two electrodes and a bias divertor coil are actually used.As the result, they construct a complicated geometry. Magnetohydrodynarnic equilibrium configurations of the spheromak plasma in the realistic region are numerically determined by using the combination of the finite difference and the boundary element method. Several numerical results for equilibrium configurations and their equilibrium quantities are calculated. On the basis of the results, the effects of bias divertor coil on the equilibrium configurations of the helicity-injected spheromak plasma are investigated. |
