Popis: | In thermal and hydraulic design of a FBR, the evaluation of cool-art mixing effect takes an important role in connection to the estimation of the hot spot in fuel assemblies and the safety evaluation.in the present study, the experimental evaluation of mixing effect due to grid plates using a water loop is discussed. The method is based on the measurement of the variation of temperature distribution in coolant along the flow direction behind a heater pin located at the entrance region of the flow channel. The mixing parameter for flow scattering due to grid plate is expressed as a function of distance behind the grid plate to the downstream direction and the analytical expression for the variation of the temperature distribution in coolant along the flow direction is successfully derived based on the temperature field method in order to avoid the inaccuracy inherent in the lumped parameter method applied to such water experiments.
