This paper examines what Japanese students learned by participating in the process of creating teaching material and through "Tandem learning" during the "Hirosaki University Summer program 2021", a short-term program for international students. A questionnaire survey conducted with the students enrolled in this program indicated a change before and after participating in it confirming that they had acquired greater depth in cross cultural understanding, wider perspectives and an awareness of their own altered world view. We want to use the results of this research to promote further internationalization of Hirosaki University in the future. |
