Eighteen patients with renal hypertension were treated with a1prenolol (Apllobal(R)) for six weeks. Blood pressure (BP), plasma renin activity and other laboratory data have been measured every two weeks. Results were as follows: 1) BP decreased from 175.5±26.13 mmHg/108.3± 17.17 mmHg to 165.3±21.06 mmHg/102.1±16.33 mmHg after two weeks of treatment.
