This text described the multiple meanings of hiromaru and hiromeru in addition to discussing the relation between these multiple meanings (the polysemic structure). Resultantly, it was acknowledged that there were two equivocal different meanings acknowledged for hiromaru and hiromeru. Furthermore, the relation between the different meanings was considered by looking at metaphor, and it was thus possible to clarify the relation between the different meanings. Finally, based on the results of a polysemy analysis, the research considered a method for effectively teaching people to learn all these different meanings. Specifically, a collocation for each different meaning was presented to promote learning, after which the examples of misuse that could be expected for each separate meaning were also presented and the causes and reasons for the misuse examined. |
