The statistical analysis of the radial velocities of early type stars within 3 kpc from the sun is carried out on the assumption that the velocity field of the stars in the Galaxy is non-circuler and axially symmetric. The coincidence of the rotational velocities between the early type stars and neutral hydrogen is found. But the rotation curve derived by Rubin et al., which is based on the space motions of individual early type stars, deviates from our result. It is suggested that the proper motion data may bear the systematic error. The variation of the velocities of the component radial from the Galactic center is calculated as the function of the Galactic distance. The result is that the velocity of the radial motion at the distance of the sun takes about 0 or a negative small value and the velocity gradient in respect to the Galactic distance is positive and small. |
