Popis: The scale effects on deep-drawing characteristics, when circular shells having diameters of about 20 to 100mm, are drawn under constant-pressure holding from deep-drawing sheets of Al, Cu, 7/3 Brass, S. D. O and mild steel, are discribed in this paper. The experimental results are as follows : 1) The lowest permissible holding force Hn in the drawing processes is affeted by the blank diameter Do, die hole diameter d_2, die shouder radius r_d, thickness of blank t_0 and the sume of tensile strength σ_b and 0.2% yielding stress σ_s. If the values H_n/πD_0 (σ_b+σ_s) are plotted against against a variable (D_0-d_2-2 r_d)/t_0, they lie nealy on a line. Therfore, we obtain an experimental formula for Hn; [numerical formula] In practice, Hn is allowed to be taken up to ±20% of the values given by the above formula. 2) the maximume drawirig force P_m under H_n is expressed practically by an experimental foymula; P_m=3(σ_b+σ_s)(D_0-d_2-r_a)t_0. 3) drawing limit reduces with increasing d_2 and decreasing t_0 because of increasing Hn.
