On the Quantum Theory of Gravity by the Formulation of the Background Field Theory

Popis: The quantum theory of gravitation was developed on the basis of the background field formulation originally developed by Feynman to quantize a perturbation field of the classical gravitational field. The theory is, therefore, intrinsically semiclassical picture of the graviation. In this paper, we present a connection between the two important formulations of the quantum theory of gravity : the original formulation of DeWitt's background field method and the path integral method developed by Hawking.
