TSAA-291 was administered intramuscularly 2 ampoules a week for 12 weeks to 17 cases of benign prostatic hypertrophy. In 3 cases, a considerable reduction of the prostatic weight was observed on measurement using transrectal ultrasonotomography. In other 14 cases, however, no remarkable change was noticed on the weight. Some improvement of subjective symptoms and no change of residual urine volume were recognized after the administration in almost all the cases. No serious complication occurred. |
