Here reported are four cases of anuria due to sulfonamid e experienced during the last ten years. Clearance test and PSP test were performed in one case, and it was found that diuresis was obtained rather quickly by alkalization, but renal function would not return to normal until considerable days passed after diuresis had begun. This delayed improvement of renal function might be due to sulfonamide crystals which not only obstruct tubules, collecting tubules and ureter, but also give some organic damage to nephron possibly by allergic reaction. |
