Popis:	The basic properties of the holographic optical memory by using a two-colour recording method in near stoichiometric Fe-doped lithium niobate single crystal are examined and the Fe donor levels as well as polarons formed by antisite intrinsic defects are confirmed to play important roles in producing free electron during excitation to form diffraction index lattice patterns in the crystal in writing process under the effect of crystal temperature.
