Popis: | The purpose of our study is to address the issue of how to manage uncertainty in supply chain relationships. We built a model for examining the relationships among uncertainty, logistics-system integration, and logistics performance and conducted a quantitative empirical study to test the model. According to the assumption of transaction cost economics (TCE), uncertainty influences negatively firms' performance; vertical integration generates to reduce the levels of uncertainty. Thus, our research model embraces the degree of logistics-system integration as a moderator in the relationships between uncertainty and logistics performance. We tested the model including the effect of two types of uncertainty: demand uncertainty and behavioral uncertainty on logistics performance and moderating role of logistics-system integration in the types of uncertainty and the performance. 研究(Article) |
