Popis: | The new computer system had been needed to calculate the flow around the wing shape configurations with 1-million gridpoints within ten minutes. And also, it had been needed to get results for full aircraft configurations with 10-million gridpoints within a day, wingshape large eddy simulations within weeks. New computer system called Numerical Wind Tunnel (NWT) had been developed to get these solutions within reasonable waiting time. NWT has 140 processing elements with 1.7 GFLOPS supercomputer and connected by high speed crossbar switch network with 421 MB/s bandwidth. In 1996, 26 processing elements had been reinforced, finally, NWT had 166 processing elements. The NWT had been successful and produced many results in the computational fluid dynamics field. 資料番号: AA0045948002 レポート番号: NAL SP-57 |
