The purpose of this study was to clarify the status of information-sharing by paramedics during emergency medical transportation(EMT). We conducted a questionnaire survey on information-sharing during EMT involving paramedics, and created descriptive statistics for analysis. There were 91 participants(response rate: 88.1%; valid response rate: 94.7%)with work experience of 8.5 ± 6 years. Among the tasks related to reporting to receiving medical personnel during EMT, the rate of answering was highest for (98.9%)and lowest for (40.7%). With regard to reporting accuracy, the rates for and were as high as about 95%, but the rate for was 76.9%, which was relatively low. The paramedics’ focuses for reporting were classified into 7 categories, including: [Giving consideration for upset others involved] and [Efficiently and accurately collecting information from others involved] when collecting information from the ill or injured/others involved; and [Quickly and accurately conveying necessary information] and [Adjusting the volume and content of information according to the receiving side] when sharing information with receiving medical personnel during EMT to hospitals.
