New Approach the Play of Early Childhood -Using the Study of Playfulness

Popis: This study aimed to approach to the essence of the play because there are no study of essence of play based on concrete data in Japan though there are a few study investigating concrete play. But it is difficult to get good results through the latter because it is needed to make clear the criteria of play based on the essence of play. Of course though we had many opinions on it, we could not find the good way to make confirm it. At first we make a review that study in U.S.A. focused on J. Lieberman, L. Barnett, K. Rubin, C. Rogers and so on. As a result we get to following conclusion. We found two way to study on the playfulness. One emphasized on personal trait, another is focused on the structure of the play. The before is proposed by Lieberman and established by Barnett and the latter is developed by Rubin and Rogers though, of course, there are many agreement of dealing from the view of disposition as play and so on. We suggested that we need to make clear the dimension of play in this study. Then we proposed new inventory based on two dimensions, that is, one is the dimension of Fun, another is fictional dimension. Based on it, we proposed New Child Behavior (NCBI).
