Popis: | This report deals with the analysis of clinical effects of cephalexin (CEX) and cephalogly cin (CEG), newly prepared cephalosporin C system antibiotic substances, which were admini stered to 42 cases of acute cystitis by the oral route. The double blind method was used for evaluation of the drugs. Both CEX and CEG were given at the dosage of 1 or 1.5 g per day for 5 consecutive days. Both CEX and CEG were found to have marked clinical effects against the infection of gram-negative as well as gram-positive microorganisms. There were no differences between effects of both drugs. No side-effects were observed in any of the cases while the substances were given. On the basis of the findings it is considered that both CEX and CEG are extremely valuable in the treatment of urinary infections. |
