Since its independence, India had been a socialist planned economy that has changed since the 1980s toward economic liberalization; however this has not led it to the realization of economic growth. In 1991, India adopted an open economic policy to break the stagnation.Since the new economic policy, which liberalized the Indian economy, the Indian economy has witnessed steady growth, especially in urban areas. India has experienced a major social change, such as a rapid increase in the middle class, and the content of movies seems to have changed to match the wavelength. This paper aims to focus on Hindi films, adopt a quantitative method called Digital Humanities (DH), and add an objective viewpoint based on data, to consider the transformation of Indian cinema and the social change.
