Popis: One of the main subjects of John Locke's "An Essay Concerning Human Understanding" was the investigation of moral principles. But it is said that Locke didn't succeed in establishing the foundation of ethics. However, in my point of view, it is not so difficult to show what kind of ethical theory he intended to form. Then the purpose of this paper is to analyse Locke's descriptions about morality and make clear the framework of his moral theory.
