Popis: 粘液線毛輸送機能に果たす粘液の粘弾性的性質とその役割について検討した.粘液としては中耳腔貯留液と正常鼻汁を用いた.動的粘弾性の測定には,Lutzらの原理をもとに著者等が考案,開発した変位設定方式磁気振動しオメーターを用いて行った.その結果,新鮮な中耳腔貯留液を用いた検討では,理論上,粘液線毛輸送機能が停止する可能性が示唆された.又,著者等が今回用いた中耳腔貯留液採取器による正常者鼻粘液の採取は鼻粘膜への機械的刺激が少なく,ほぼ正常に近い気道粘液が採取されるものと思われる.このような方法で得られた正常鼻汁,すなわち正常気道粘液は粘液線毛輸送機能に最適な粘弾性的性質を有していることが,明らかとなった
Both elastic modulus (G') and dynamic viscosity (ή) of 52 middle ear effusions were determined by an oscillating sphere magnetic rheometer and compared with transportability of the effusions on mucus-depleted bullfrog palate. The experiments were performed under the constant temperature of 25℃. A maximum value of transport was obtained at G' of about 20 dyn/cm² (at 1Hz). Below this value there was a significant positive correlation between the transport rate and log G'. Above 20 dyn/cm², the negative correlation between the transport rate and log G' was significant. A similar significant correlation between the transport rate and log ή was obtained. The maximum value of transport was obtained at ή of about 2 poise (at 1 Hz). Below ή of 2 poise, there was positive correlation, and above 2 poise, negative correlation was observed. Twenty-nine normal nasal mucus were collected from the each nasal cavity of healthy human adults, and its dynamic viscoelasticity were determined at 1 Hz. G' of normal mucus averaged 35 dyn/cm²±0.46 log unit, and ή averaged 1.79 poise±0.47 log unit. Our results indicate that both G' and ή of normal respiratory mucus exist in the viscoelastic range for optimal transport efficiency.
