Popis: | Kinoshita Naoe advocated the realization of socialism through an explicitly political use of the Gospel. He has been called a "Christian socialist/follower of social Christianity". Kotoku Shusui, on the other hand, denounced Christianity as mere idolatry. These two opposing treatments of the figure of Jesus, however, both constitute efforts to bring about the realization of socialist goals. |
