The results are as follows. In the Hanshin area during the high-growth period, housing estates and new towns were actively developed, and the population increased rapidly, and most of the increased population was young. However, the increase in the population was not accompanied by the development of retail and commercial facilities for daily necessities, which had a serious impact on the lives of the residents. Furthermore, at that time, the spread of private cars was still insufficient. At that time, the operation of the “shopping bus” attracted attention as a solution to the problem. The operation of shopping buses often caused conflicts with nearby retailers, and the operation of shopping buses was costly. But by operating shopping buses, retailers have met consumer expectations and improved their performance. |
